The Huntington Society's Volunteer Training Initiative (VTI)

The Volunteer Training Initiative (VTI) was initiated by the Society's national Board of Directors, after key board members and staff developed a preliminary project plan through the Health Canada workshop on Strengthening Voluntary Organizations. Thanks to generous support from Health Canada since that time, we have been able to develop and pilot the three levels of the Society's VTI program.

The VTI program is intended to be a tool for the Society to ensure that all of its volunteers have equal access to a minimum level of training in their work as HSC volunteers (outside of opportunities at annual conferences), and is aimed at empowering all volunteers to be as effective as they feel they can be in their work on behalf of the Huntington's cause.
