Huntington Disease Awareness Month C May 2002

Public Service Announcement

Huntington disease is a fatal, hereditary brain disorder that slowly destroys both

mind and body. It takes years to kill its victims, but even after Huntington=s has run

its course, the nightmare may not be over C because every child of a parent with

HD has a 50 % risk of inheriting the deadly gene.

Currently there is no cure for HD, but there is hope. The Huntington Society of

Canada provides support services to families across the country, and funds vital

research into ways to prevent, arrest and even reverse the damage caused by HD.

We=re getting closer to a cure ... and we=re going to win.

May is Huntington Disease Awareness Month. Please join the fight by calling the

Huntington Society of Canada at 1-800-998-7398.
