Testing Clinics
Predictive
testing clinics perform the genetic test for HD and offer genetic
counselling. Before testing, a genetic counsellor helps the individual
explore reasons for taking the test, and prepare for receiving
the results. After testing, counselling is geared to offering
support and assistance in understanding the impact of either negative
or positive test results, both on the individual and the rest
of the family.
