Hiking
for Huntington's
Bon
Voyage John!
Brave
and adventurous volunteer John Schultz is hiking Ontario's Bruce
Trail to raise funds for the Huntington Society of Canada. John
left Niagara Falls on Monday, June 21st, and hopes to arrive in
Tobermory on July 30, 2004, which was his wife's birthday.
John's
wife Marie died from HD in 2003, and John is hiking in her memory.
John has set an ambitious - and inspiring - goal to match the donations
made to the Society when Marie passed away, which was over $4,000.
To
make a gift in support of John's hike, please visit our donations
page and make a note that your gift is for the Hiking for Huntington's
event. If you prefer to make your donation over the phone, please

If
you want to keep track of John - or try to meet up with him on the
trail - you can follow him right here!
July
22nd Update!
John
is passing through Owen Sound! He's right on schedule.
A
friend and hiking buddy of John called in to report he is doing
really, really well! He hikes an average of 16 kilometres per day.
The weather has been good and the terrain has been friendly.
John
has done tons of interviews for the media, maybe you've heard him!
He's also generated a lot of interest - and donations - from people
he meets on the trail.
He's
getting into more and more rugged terrain as he heads up the Bruce
Peninsula.
Join
us in wishing John all the best in his home stretch!!
An
update will follow when John returns safe and sound!
